Greeting in the name of Jesus Christ our Saviour and Lord!!

In the past 5 months there were many things going on in our church, and we are happy to share this news to you.

On 15th August 2007, we had cooking class with Sis. Agustina as the Chef. The main menu was Oriental delicacies and everybody was so happy to taste the food which is very differ than their normal menu at home. We had Veg Manchurian, Chicken Sechuan, Cap Cai, Chilli Panner, Phu Yung Hai and rice. Before the cooking class, we thought that only the ladies would show up, but all the gentlemen were also very interested to learn and spent time with us.

While waiting for the food to be ready, the boys tried to race among themselves to show who is the strongest.

We would like to thank our brothers and sisters who have given the funds to make this cooking class happened.

On 2nd October 2007, we were having Youth Seminar about "Dating VS Courtship". We started at 10 am and this seminar was divided by 2 sessions. We have Pastor Daniel Darlong as a speaker for the first session and Sis. Agustina as a speaker for second session.

Since the church library was opened many months back, we realized that the books about youth stuffs and dating are in big demand. Our youth are growing very fast and they want to know more about relationship between boys and girls. We decided that it is the time we bring this up to our youth, and the response was amazing, we had many questions rised from our youth and we tried our best to answer them.

There were more than 40 people came to this seminar and they are looking forward for more seminars like this to be held in our church. Please pray that we will have more seminars and programs for the youth.

Last month during Durga Puja Holiday we had visitors from Denmark, they are Bro. Chris Brett, Sis. Clara Brett and Sis. Anne Katrine Christiansen. We had a very good time with them. They had helped us to teach about the Words of God to our children project two years back, and this time they also had a burden to bring the Words of God for our children project during Vocational Bible Study. Sis. Clara and Sis. Anne were also enjoying their time when their spent time with our Sunday School children. During their visit in Kolkata, they also visited UPC churches in Batanagar and Howrah.

Thank you Brother Chris, Sis. Clara and Sis. Anne for your love and burden for Kolkata ministry, we are looking forward to see you all back in our city again.
