Compassion Project For Children

We praise and thank our God the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for His kind and faithful work in the area of Pullin Pally, Dum Dum Airport.

Pullin Pally Child Development Center established in the year 2002. Started in July with great dream on child development. Kolkata United Pentecostal Church and Raghabpur Baptist Church join hands together and came forward to fulfills the vision seen by the “Compassion East India” advocating the children to form their spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty. And enable them to become responsible and fulfilled Christian adult. And to develop the Local Church Growth.

By the Grace of God, now we have 172 registered children, the children age group is between
5 ­ 15 years and belong to Hindu and Muslim community. These children family members are living under poverty line and lacking opportunity and neglected by the society. Through serving and advocating to these children we are getting opportunity to share the Gospel among the children and their family members and to the community people.

Daily activities of the project start with praise and prayer in the evening. The praise and prayer starts with spiritual songs, current events and special announcement. After this they got o the respective classes where they are getting tuitions according to their school syllabus. Also we follow our curriculum on four fold activities and it is according to their age group.

As we have been trying to bring the children closer to God we have started Sunday School for the children and Special Sunday Church Service for the parents where around 30 ­ 40 parents are attending, and we are privilege to share the Gospel and have fellowship with them as well as the community people. We also conduct Vocational Bible studies Camps, Bible Quiz competition and provide Bible Story books for them.

We are happy to share that project also provides a good nutritious and hygiene foods, household goods, clothing and other necessities and items for child use etc. We also conduct sports to develop their physical areas. It is my privilege to share about them that most of the children are developing in a very hygienic and sound health by the blessing of Jesus.

God has blessed us in a mighty way. With the help of Compassion East India special medical funds, some of our children and parents have gone through surgeries like – Open heart surgery, backbone surgery, etc. And also some of them have gone through treatments like – jaundices, asthma, heart problems and other difficult and deadly diseases too. It was a great hope for the children as well as the parents who otherwise could not have afford these kinds of treatments for their children with growing high cost of treatments.

We do pray for all the project children for their better future and we are so thankful to Compassion East India ministry for their tremendous help and support in the past and the present and also hope for the future, that this young generation may come close and closer to the living faith in Jesus Christ.
