KNOW OUR PASTOR:

Our Pastor Daniel Darlong was born in a small village Darchawi, Tripura, India on 18 Nov.1964. His father was a servant of God with the Baptist Church before the Apostolic teaching comes to their place. He has eight children six sons and two daughters. And Pastor Daniel Darlong was the eldest among the brothers. He was baptized in Jesus name in 1976, and in the same year he received the Holy Ghost.

He started his education very lately due to his ill health in his childhood. He completed his standard five in Bengali medium then got admitted in the English medium in standard two. From that very year, he took interest in his studies and continued his studies in different schools and states. He joined his standard nine in St. Anthony's High School in Shillong, Meghalaya. Here he completed his school graduation and got admitted in the college in the same institution. As his parents financially could not support him in his education, he was compelled to join in the government job in 1982 studying in the night college.

HIS CALLING:

Pastor Daniel Darlong loves to play soccer game since his childhood. He participated in different national tournaments in the school, university, club and state level. While he was playing national game semi-final, he heard a voice calling me in the playground, 'Daniel you have been playing for many years in the small ground, but now I have chosen you to play in a bigger ground'. He could no longer play as he was so much weakened physically by the voice he had heard. He could not eat and sleep that night. Later in the same year he joined the Bible School in New Delhi without any prior preparation. He completed his Bible training in February 1992. Coming back to Shillong he again joined his previous job and also sat for the college final examination. He passed his graduation in 1993 and joined in the Law College expecting to be a lawyer. But in his second year of the law college, he suddenly got a call to minister in Calcutta. He started his ministry in Calcutta on March 18, 1995.

Since he was standard nine, he always has the hunger to serve the Lord but he did not know how to start. Though he was in the government job he always felt some emptiness in his life but nothing could fill the emptiness in my life. He still did not fully understand what and how to do even after joining in the Bible Institute. One afternoon he fasted and prayed to God to show him the real direction if HE wants him for HIS servant. At that very moment he had a very short vision but meaningful. He was praying in New Delhi, but in his vision He was in Shillong. "Brother, come to our land and preach the Gospel", they insisted him, "I am afraid to come to your land as it is always flooded" he replied them. "Our land never get flood, we are always safe" they reply him back. Then his vision finished. He could not understand the meaning of his vision. After coming to minister in Calcutta, God has revealed to him one after another about HIS great call to him.

Pasto Daniel Darlong was already father of three children when he started the ministry in Calcutta. In 1996 another daughter was born, now he is father of four wonderful children. The eldest son is Solomon, the second one is James Lalrindika, the third and fourth both are girls, Abigail and Zenevie(Jerry). His beautiful wife Sister Siamliani is very important lady in his ministry and in the family.
