Sunday School

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." (Matthew 19:14 NIV)

Sunday school is held every Sunday morning at 8.30 - 10.00 am. The children who come for Sunday school are mostly the children who attend the Children Compassion Project.

Sunday School in Kolkata Dum Dum church started in Agustust 2005 with Sis. Supriya and Bro. Debangsu. There are now about 40 students attending Sunday School. All of the children are from different religion and background. 99% of them are from Hindu background and only 1% are from Muslim and Christian background.

At present, there are about 30 to 35 children attending Sunday School every Sunday morning, they are of different age group 8 - 16 years. Childlren are very much interested in learning about the Word of God though they are not Christian. Many of them have also received Holy Spirit. Teaching is imparted in Bengali and English. Since there is no particular study book, children are taught through Bible and some Bible materials with pictures.

Children love to perform and are very active in church activity or youth activity like singing, drama, playing football, etc.
